ESTEEMED CLIENTS WITH ADDED VALUES

DEEP SEA TANKERS

We broker deals for the huge vessels that carry crude or petroleum products across the world. As truly global brokers, we handle more deep sea business than any other company. Our experienced Team & Strategic partners have long-standing and close working relationships with all the major owners and charterers. Petroleum products power our vehicles and planes, heat our homes, run our factories, and form the basis for the plastics that go into a vast range of consumer and industrial products. Our worldwide team delivers best-in-class performance in all three major deep sea markets - crude oil, 'clean' and 'dirty' petroleum products.

We facilitate deals between oil companies, traders and shipowners, and negotiate for cargoes to be transported between producers and refiners. The size of tankers we deal with ranges from 20,000 dwt ships carrying refined petroleum products (including naphtha, jet fuel, gasoline, gasoil and fuel oil) to crude oil tankers in excess of 300,000 dwt. On a day-to-day basis our team handles all aspects of spot chartering and longer-period time charters as well as Contracts of Affreightment (CoAs) and individual project consultancy.

DRY CARGO

Dry Cargo chartering is a varied and complex market involving more than three billion tonnes of cargo each year. Our experienced Team & Strategic partners based in 15 countries acts as a vital link between charterers and shipowners who need to transport the goods required by a growing global population. The Dry Cargo market relies on a wide range of vessels and covers all the world's major trade routes. It is dominated by three core sectors: iron ore and steel related products; coal bound for steel plants and power stations; and food stocks. Outside of these, the market is extremely diversified, covering more than 37 different commodities including cement, fertiliser, timber and scrap metal. We are experienced in spot chartering for individual voyages, Contracts of Affreightment (CoAs) on behalf of major commodity and power companies and the time charter of vessels for short or long term charter cover, covering all sizes of vessels from Capesize to Handysize.

Our offices work ....

Closely together and with our colleagues in the Financial division - so that as well as moving physical goods, we can help clients finance projects and also manage their exposure to risk. Different offices focus on different specialties. In Australia, for example, we are based among the iron ore producers and miners, whilst in Greece we are located close to the shipowners. Across the world, the relationships between our people and our clients are founded on local knowledge and mutual respect - we speak the language, know the culture and have grown up alongside many of our clients as neighbors as well as trusted advisers.

LPG AND AMMONIA

Operating in a rapidly evolving and complex market, our customers rely on our industry-leading LPG and Ammonia team to provide the full range of gas-related services including ship, commodity, derivative and asset broking. We also offer financial instrument broking and derivative knowledge via our regulated entity Shamrock Commodities USA LLC. Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) - a by-product of natural gas and crude oil - and ammonia which is used within industrial processes and the production of fertilizer, are carried in specialist vessels of 15,000-84,000 cubic meters. These vessels transport cargo in a liquid form, under pressure or in a refrigerated state on global routes such as the Middle East to South East Asia and the Far East. Our aim is to provide a complete service, directing our in-depth knowledge to meet all of our client requirements. In this sector, trading and the shipping of the commodity are very closely linked. Our clients are frequently involved in both and expect us to provide wide-ranging capabilities. Our services therefore range from the evaluation and the execution of second-hand or newbuilding contracts to chartering, implementation of commodity and/or derivative brokerage and hedging. Working closely with other divisions within Shamrock we also provide financial solutions for longer-term chartering and asset-based contracts. Our focus is to evolve with our clients, providing them with strategic support in order to develop long-term relationships.

No other broker offers such a comprehensive range of services. With tie-ups in London, Oslo, Houston and Singapore, we have built an industry-leading reputation of brokerage - a reputation not only for bringing challenging deals to fruition and for meeting the changing needs of an ever-growing range of clients but also for the professionalism and effectiveness of our commercial broking and post-fixture support staff. Put simply, we deliver.

CONTAINERS

Container ships play a significant role in the shipping business, carrying high value cargoes of manufactured goods all over the world, accounting for more than 60% by value of global seaborne trade. Most of the products that satisfy global consumer demand are transported in the multi-coloured branded containers familiar to us all. From home electronics and car parts to foodstuffs, textiles, chemicals and bulk commodities such as scrap metal, they cross the oceans on vast vessels - the next generation of which will be almost 400 metres long, over 50 metres wide and be capable of carrying 18,000 individual containers.

Container shipping covers all global trades: from small inter-regional feeder routes to major trades such as those between Asia and Europe and Asia and the USA. This vital sector of the shipping market is set to become more important still, with container traffic historically having grown at an average rate around three times faster than the dry cargo and tanker trades.
